Book one in the new Nosy Parkers Mystery series that looks like each book will have a separate author which should make things quite interesting to say the least. This book lays the foundation for the series by introducing the reader to a group of girls that grew up together that were avid fans of a popular female sleuth book character of their time. They each fancied that they had skills but when they are put to the test in the real work they get to discover how hard this really can be. Not to mention the emotional roller coaster they get at the same time. One of the group is run over and another one gets to solve her murder when it looks like the cops consider it an accident instead. The writing really pulls the reader into the story and the many twists and turns that follow keep them hook until the very last page. The fact that it is set in the past also lends another dimension to the overall story which I really enjoyed. This is a great start to a new cozy mystery series even if they do all have different authors. I recommend this to fans of cozies that are set in the past instead of current times and since I really enjoyed it I give it 4/5 stars.
