Book one in the Shakespeare in the Catskills Mystery series. Welcome to the world of plays set at a resort in the Catskills mountains. The play company keeps the resort alive and resort gives them somewhere to perform the plays. The upcoming production is Romeo & Juliet which sounds great until the actress playing Juliet is poisoned and the stabbed which of course she did not recover from. The main character is Charlotte who is charge of all the costumes. She finds herself investigating since she seems to be in the middle of everything. The back and forth between the play and the murder really keeps the story moving giving the reader something to focus on. I enjoyed the little details that were worked in and the character development was quite incredible with lots of little secrets. I recommend this to fans of cozy mysteries with an artistic type flair to them. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.
