Book two in the
Country Store Mysteries
series. Welcome back to French Lick, Indiana and the absolutely
adorable country store that Robbie runs. Business is booming despite the
events in the first book at least until Robbie goes to open the morning
after a private party to find the guest of honor dead in the middle of
the floor. Her best friend Phil is accused of her murder which makes
Robbie start asking questions to clear his name and save her business
though she did not realize she held an important clue the whole time.
This is a well written cozy mystery that has a nice flow, with strong
characters, and a story line to keep the reader hooked yet guessing at
the identity of the killer. The clues are nice touches that tie the
whole thing together as well as the store itself which I may have fallen
in love with. This is a must read for fans of culinary cozy mysteries
(*some recipes included). I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.
Thanks for the review! I love Maddie Day books and can't wait to read this one.
