REVIEW
What a great start to a new series. We get introduced to a small Southern town that has it's very own language that we get to learn along with main character Tess after she moves there following a divorce. What she does not know is that the house she bought comes with some history that essentially puts in danger as both an old and new murder come to town. The mix of the past and present is smooth with nice transitions to keep the story moving. Meeting all the characters around town is a real treat that will carry over into future installments. This is nice cozy mystery that i recommend to fans of the genre. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.

Heroes & Hooligans in Goose Pimple Junction
Goose Pimple Junction Mysteries Book 2
299 pages
Goose Pimple Junction is just recovering from a kidnapping and a murder, its first major crimes in years, when trouble begins anew. Life is turned upside down in the quirky little southern town with the arrival of several shifty hooligans: A philandering husband intent on getting his wife back, another murderer loose in town, a stalker intent on frightening Martha Maye, and a thief who’s stealing the town blind of their pumpkins, pies, and peace. Together, they’re scaring the living daylights out of the residents and keeping the new police chief busier than a set of jumper cables at a redneck picnic. Suddenly, he has his hands full trying to apprehend a killer, stop a stalker, and fight his feelings for the damsel in distress.

REVIEW
I admit this book threw me off a little bit. To start with we changed main characters with this one revolving around Martha Mae with Tess as a side character. All the other town personalities are still present though giving us much more insight into the layout of the town which I always like in a series. i now know a whole lot more about Martha's Ex and I admit I am not impressed. This was a nice story though with lots of twists before we get even one murder. The story heats up after that with lots of other odd things going on and as Martha and friends investigate things really get screwy. I gotta say that Aunt Ima had me cracking up in this installment with her commercial slogans. Overall this is a nice cozy mystery that has an eclectic Southern twist for readers to enjoy. I liked it so I give it 3/5 stars.

REVIEW
What a delightful look inside the laugh of the residents of Goose pimple Junction. Composed of short stories and one novella it was a quick read that goes nicely with the series giving us a little more insight into the lives of resident's that live there. While awful short it was still a pleasant read with some lovable characters. I especially liked the proposal story. A must read for fans of the series and for those that enjoy some Southern charm. I liked it so I give it 3/5 stars.

REVIEW
Wonderful addition to this series about a cute Southern town. This time we get to focus on Caledonia as she keeps experiencing accidents. What she doesn't know is that a hired killer is in town and she is just really lucky. The back and forth between the two characters provides nice insight into both sides of the story and I can honestly say that I did not see the twist that happens near the end and the very end blew my mind. This is a must read for cozy mystery fans that like some Southern slang in their reading that comes from characters we can all relate to. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.
