Book one in the Postmistress Mystery series. Cassie returns to her small home town after an awful break-up. She steps down from her higher level post in the big city to take over the post office back home which is so small she can run it all by herself. Things are going great until a giant stack of phone books are stolen from the post office which makes her start asking questions. Then a dead body is found in the woods that ties back to the very same phone books. Of course Cassie cannot help but start asking questions especially since the post office is gossip central all on its own. This is a great start to a new cozy mystery series. The characters are likable, the town is cute, and the murder kept me guessing for the most part. If you are fan of the genre then I highly recommend you give this a try. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.
