*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Book two in the Lydent's Curse series. I can admit to disappoint at the beginning of this book when I realized that this was not a continuation of Carly' story but instead it tells the story of Hannah. Poor Hannah has had a very rough life filled with numerous amounts of medical issues. I have to give Nikki some mad props for addressing this stuff so well throughout this book. it was nice to have a MC that was not perfect and the details were maintained throughout instead of glossed over. I was enjoying it. Thrown into a new town Hannah tries to fit only to be singled out by the hottest guys in the school yet told she cannot have them. With her genealogy a secret they have no way of knowing how important she really is. The story that follows was quite riveting as I kept wondering what crazy thing would come next. The support from the guys was nice with each having their own individual moments to highlight their characters. All of them are not perfect either and Nikki highlight this well with lots of details showing research or experience in a way that readers can really relate to. I can admit that I am addicting to this arching story line by this point though I still wish to read more in detail about each of these new relationships. Since characters are mostly YA this book is not steamy though still sweet. I really enjoyed reading it so I give it 4/5 stars.
