Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison

I've been meaning to try this series for a little bit now and I have to say so far I am not disappointed. We get a female lead that is funny, confident, strong, underappreciated, and an awesome witch. She lives in a world where paranormal and humans mix after a bio-engineered virus takes out most of the humans. She quits her job which essentially places a bounty on her head which makes for some fascinating reading as it all plays out. Great world building full of all kinds of characters. I look forward to seeing where this is going. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
