Whoa buddy what an emotional roller coaster this book is!! We start with a sweet seven year old spending time with her parents before Mater Thom shows up killing them and taking her captive. Flash forward until she is 21 and we glimpse of the horror that has become her life by this point. I became emotionally invested in her journey hoping and praying she would escape. Throw in a lovely twist and harm of equally scarred shifter to lead to one explosive ending that will have you on the edge of your seat wanting then next book right now. Does contains lots of triggers for those that avoid stuff like that since it does have a very dark theme to it. I totally loved it though so I give it 5/5 stars.
