What an interesting book this is. We meet Lucian soon be head of the Cotroni family once he finishes as St. Monarchs Academy. Now enter Elena the daughter of another mafia family that been pretty much kept as a prisoner her entire life. As if that is not bad enough her dad's right hand man is her tormentor including rape, beatings, and more. On top of all that he announces they will wed once she leaves the academy. She sees the school as her only chance for freedom of any kind and though she was warned to stay away from Lucian he has other ideas which includes switching things up to arrange their own marriage essentially saving her from a horrid fate. Of course no mafia book would be complete without danger lurking around every page keeping the story moving as a fast clip. This all blends together into a rather enjoyable read. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
