*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
This is definitely a dark read but a good one none the less. We meet Valentina as the daughter of an important man who has her life planned for her. This includes an arranged marriage to Sal who she cannot stand. After losing her cousin she has nothing left to lose so she runs to Adrian thinking that if he is so scary to everyone else then he has to be able to help her get rid of Sal. Little did she know what she is getting into but she will definitely find out soon enough. Plenty of surprising twists and turns keep the story going leading all the way to the cliff hanger ending that sets it up for second and final book of the duet. I cannot wait to see how this all plays out. Makes for an enjoyably dark read. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
