Book two in the Magical Cats series. I am in love with these cats! Not only do they have awesome magical powers but they seem remarkably invested in whatever Kathleen happens to be doing. For this installment she finds a local older lady run over in an alley and her friend becomes the prime suspect. Of course Kathleen has to start asking questions and just when she thinks she can solve the case without any danger she finds an unpleasant surprise. Owen helps save the day though and the end was just great. The writing style is great sucking the reader into the story until you cannot pout the book down. The characters are well developed making them easy to relate to and get attached to at the same time. The setting is remarkable with lots of little details that really bring the story together. The magic is just the cherry on top of the cake. I highly recommend this series to fans of cozy mysteries that contain not only cats but magic as well. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.
