*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Tonya has done it again by writing a truly incredible cozy mystery book that really captures the Southern spirit while giving us an incredible mystery to solve. Since this is book four the characters are all nicely established by this point which is quite nice. Kenni's momma is gearing up to compete to be featured on an upcoming cooking show going to extremes to win. That looks bad enough but when the famous man that is supposed to be hosting the show is found dead in his room with the remnants of what looks like momma's food nearby things go all to hell evening getting Kenni pulled off the case for a while due to conflict of interest. That does not stop her though as she investigate to clear her momma's name with the help of Duke and Poppa. The writing is amazing peppered with lots of little clues and details to really draw the reader in and I admit that the end still surprised me a little bit. If you enjoy cozy mysteries then you really have to give this series a chance. I loved every single page so it gets 5/5 stars.
