*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Book two in the Once Upon a Harem multi author series where each one retells a fairy tale and works as a stand alone. This one obviously is a take on Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and what a take it is too. Snow is placed in exile on a slow ship for years before she finds herself captured by her evil step mother and handed over to a group of seven shadows. What should have been her death instead is her salvation as they end up bonded with lots of magic. It is quite a ride to get that far though with lots of interesting twists and turns that I did not see coming. I especially enjoyed the concept of the warrior souls as that really added a nice layer to the whole thing. This is a great new world described in remarkable detail that still gives us the characters we know and love at heart. I highly recommend it to fans of RH and fairy tales. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars. Maybe we can get Cara to revisit this world in one of her future books....
