Book four in the Hamster Princess series. These books fall into the kids Easy section at my library and I admit that I think that all little girls learning to read chapters should really read these books (though there is enough action to please the boys at the same time). Each one is all about girl power, but with an element of teamwork at the same time. In this installment Harriet accidentally grows a beanstalk that of course has a giant at the top of it. In this hamster take on the Jack and the Beanstalk story Harriet saves the day with the help of her friends while rescuing the harp as well as the goose being held hostage. Has excellent descriptions that create a vivid image with plenty of illustrations to help as well. A must read for fans of adventure and fantasy novels created for a younger audience. I give it 4/5 stars.
