Teresa LaRue grew up in a small town along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She’s worked as a secretary, assistant manager of an audio book store, and manager of a fashion jewelry store. She is an avid reader, gardener, and movie buff. She lives across the lake from New Orleans with her family, including a dog named Bones, and a cat named Chloe.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.


I have to say that all of the characters in this book really need some good therapy after this though several of them needed it beforehand. Lori has to return to her childhood home, which she fled from years ago, because her sister that raised her took a tumble down the stairs dying before she landed. The officials deem it an accident but Lori cannot accept that so she starts asking questions. The problem is that everyone in the house is some kind of family member and they all seem to have secrets. When Lori refuses to give up she starts experiencing some strange and occasionally dangerous events that ultimately lead up to one doozy of a finale I have to say. This story is so well written I was sucked in by the crazy stuff going on and the characters were each crazier then the last one which made me really curious about what was going to happen next. If you enjoy a cozy mystery that is just full of family drama and wonky stuff this is the book for you. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.
