My Fair Princess by Vanessa Kelly
Book one in the Improper Princesses series. Gillian is the bastard daughter of one of the Prince's and grew up doing as she pleased in Italy. When some trouble comes her family packs her off to England in an effort to marry her off which she is less then enthused about. Her manners need some work though so they recruit the Duke of Leverton, who is known for being almost too proper, to teach them to her. What begins as instant dislike quickly transforms into a wonderful romance that had me cracking up as these two kept bickering with one another. Their issues seem insurmountable but they are not as they both eventually discover. I really enjoyed how it did not follow any set pattern like some romances do. The difference was a breathe of fresh air and the writing kept me hooked from the first page. If you enjoy a good historical regency romance novel you so have to give this book a shot. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.
