Book one in the Brilliant, Minnesota Mystery series. Meet the quirky members of the Penderghast historic neighborhood in Brilliant, Minnesota. This small town was founded by a set of seven mysterious brothers that each built their own home. these homes are known as this fancy neighborhood, and things are going great until someone starts stealing these individual fancy floor sections that can be found in one spot in each of these original houses. The home owners do not think the police are doing enough so they band together to solve the puzzle themselves. This leads to one funny and quirky investigation as each member has a distinct personality that tends to clash with others at times. These people had be cracking up yet still wondering what they would discover next. If you like a good puzzle cozy mystery this is so the book for you. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.
