Book three in the Five-Ingredient Mystery series. After the events of the last book Granddad thinks he is an investigator now despite what Val says. Val is offered her old job in New York back which makes her ponder whether she is really happy where she is. There is a big festival coming up and they decide to rent out the empty rooms in the big house make some extra cash. On the very first might one of the guests is found murdered in the backyard which makes the whole house suspects. While trying to find the truth before the guests return home Val stumbles across quite a few surprises from both the past and the present. The combination is all quite interesting and I found myself hooked until the end wondering what would happen next. This is a really good cozy mystery so it gets 4/5 stars.
