Book three in the Charmed Pie Shoppe Mystery series. Ella Mae is depressed after everything that happened in the last book. While she is happy that her powers are getting stronger at the same time she cannot help but miss her mother. After doing some research with her new friend she thinks she has found a way that will free her mother without wiping out a source for all of their magic. She finds herself rushing to finds the answers after their city becomes a refuge for the citizens of another town that had its grove set on fire. To keep their powers they must relocate and of course that means the arsonist as well. When her grove is threatened Ella Mae finds the determination she needs to find the one thing she needs to save her mom while still finding the bad guy at the same time. The overlapping story lines gave lots of action as the story progressed yet still built nicely on one another. I admit that I thought Ella was a little whiny but she was able to suck it up in the end. Another great addition to the series and a must read for fans of cozy mysteries that have a touch of magic in them. I give it 4/5 stars.
