This is one of James Patterson's Bookshots Flames only this time he lets the actual author take credit which I appreciate. This is a cute little romance story that kept me interested until the end. The story was well developed and the characters are relatable. I liked it, but did not find it exceptionally good so it gets 3/5 stars.

Book two of the Shifters Unbound series. This book picks up where book one left off only this story is about Liam's brother Sean. He falls for a half fae/half shifter woman named Andrea, and the mix of their two worlds leads to one very interesting story I must admit. This book has plenty of drama, action, mystery, and fantasy all mixed together. I really enjoyed reading it. It gets 4/5 stars.

Book four of the Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart series. I am moving right along with these books which is good since my goal is to complete them. This book picks up directly after book three, and ti contains Lexi's story with yet another Prakenskii brother. I liked how she developed the story since Lexi is the victim of some serious past abuse. On the other hand it felt like the complete was having the same discussion over and over again throughout the book which drove me a little crazy. If half stars were an option on Goodreads I would give it 2.5/5 stars, but since it is not i had to rate it 3/5 stars.

The Christmas Mystery by James Patterson (sort-of)

These co-authored books hurt my head. I can easily tell that Patterson was not the one that wrote most of this story yet his name is huge on the front cover. This somehow seems unfair to me, but what do I know. At least it was a fairly decent story. The characters are well-developed and the mystery moves right along. My main complaint is that it is so short it feels like it is rushing from part to part. I rate it 3/5 stars.

Book three in the Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart series. This book was much better than the last one. While it still contains one of the girls and a new Prakenskii brother that is where the similarities ended. Most of the story takes place out of Sea Haven, and the end is very detailed which I loved. It is well written, and developed. I give it 4/5 stars which is a step up from the last one.

Book two of the Casey Duncan series. I was able to get my hands on an ARC copy (release date is February 7) and I am so happy!! I really enjoyed the first book which follows Casey as she moves with a friend to a hidden community in Canada that was created for people to disappear. She is a homicide detective so her skills will be highly useful as they discover the secrets that the Council is hiding from them. This story picks up shortly after the first one, and it has a little bit of everything: action, adventure, drama, romance, sex, and plot twists. It kept me hooked all the way to the end making fall in love with it which earns it 5/5 stars.

Double Eclipse by Melissa de la Cruz

Book two of the Summer on East End series. These books are about twins Molly and Mardi Overbrook that happen to be the children of Thor who is stuck on our planet after the Rainbow Bridge was shattered. While the premise of these stories are good this one was a little too teen for me. It took over half the book to start really getting interesting, and then it all seemed to be over really fast. I can only give 3/5 stars.
