Release Blitz & Review for The Christmas Con by Rachel Robinson

THE CHRISTMAS CON
by Rachel Robinson
Release Date: November 29th

AVAILABLE NOW!! FREE in Kindle Unlimited!

Blurb:
All I wanted for Christmas was a date… I posted one personal ad on a free, dark web dating site. I expected a Nigerian Prince who wanted my bank account number or a phishing scam. I didn’t expect to receive lavish gifts from a beautiful stranger. A plane ticket. A weeklong vacation in Bora Bora. Saying yes to everything was easy because in exchange for my insane compliance, he agreed to be my date home for Christmas. Except when I arrive in paradise I realize he isn’t just a beautiful stranger. He’s Italian royalty—an actual freaking Prince! He’s also a world-famous porn star. Falling for an untouchable man isn’t advisable, but then again this was only supposed to be The Christmas Con. A standalone, steamy, Christmas Novella.

 REVIEW
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

I had so much fun with this book. Liszt has a past with men that has left her love shy but the holidays are coming and she so doesn't want to deal with her family still single. So she has the idea of posting on the dark web to find someone to play her boyfriend. Imagine her surprise when in the middle of the crazy responses she finds one that seems legit. At least until he sends a plane ticket for her to go to Bora Bora the next day to spend time with him with no strings attached beforehand. Worried its a scam she does a little research and then decides to go with it. Once there she meets Luca who is so such more then she thought. They feel drawn to one another but its a bumpy road due to where he is. Finally after some issues they get their HEA on grand Christmas style. A great steamy holiday read that will put in the mood for Christmas. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.

But as he watches Annalise work miracles on the house and his daughter, he realizes the two of them have bonded in some ethereal way, as if they've always known each other.

Romance novelist Jackie Weger, is a traveler of the good earth by foot, bus, canoe, sloop, mule, train, plane and pickup. But usually she only gets as far as Walmart. After family, and writing, destination travel is tops on her wish list. Says, Weger: "I like to get to a place, unpack once and spend time meeting natives, sampling the food, and learning about their lives and habits--whether in Appalachia or a tiny jungle village. I enjoy sitting in grand cathedrals and on park benches. I'm awed by magnificent architecture, frescoes and stone reliefs. I'm just as awed walking on a beach at dusk, picking up sea glass washed by a thousand seas or spying a fallen star. I hoard my friends and fans and am often humbled by their kindness." Asked what she wants most in life, Weger says: “A cave, a candle, and a good book.”

Blog Tour & Giveaway for Homicide: Party of Twelve by Michael Bronte

Homicide: Party of Twelve
by Michael Bronte
Genre: Suspense, Thriller

Homicide: Party of Twelve takes us to Jersey City where the boss of Chez Alain restaurant has just been gunned down in a drive by shooting. Frankie Fortunato, a hardworking server, moves up to become the new manager. New Jersey State Police Detective, Matt Klimecki, catches the case and leans heavily on the restaurant's employees to help solve it, including Frankie and his girlfriend, Gabby D'Angelo, who also works at Chez Alain. The plot twists and turns as Frankie struggles to please the owners and reopen the restaurant, while also dealing with the opposing forces of gun-running criminals and the authorities who are trying to catch them.

Michael Bronte is a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, New York, and George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and lives with his wife in New Jersey. "All of the heroes in my novels are everyday people," says Bronte. "Any of them could by your next door neighbor. None of us really know what we're capable of until the time comes for us to reach beyond the boundaries of our everyday lives. Remarkable feats of courage are performed all around us. It's amazing."

As a young teenager I remember reading paperback mysteries under a huge oak tree outside my parents’ neighborhood grocery store in Dalton, Massachusetts, a small town located in the heart of the Berkshires. I can recall pulling a book from the rack and getting locked in to those novels as the fragrant summer breeze of Berkshire County tried to turn the page before I was done reading it. I don’t know why, but I was greatly affected by a book titled The Fan Club, by Irving Wallace. When I was done reading it, I can still recall thinking that someday I’d be able to write a book like that on my own; I knew I could do it.

Well, the idea stayed dormant for over thirty years while I did what I thought I should have been doing for a living (looking back, it all seems so trivial sometimes) until I rekindled by infatuation with writing novels. Now, may years later, and many mistakes and failures later, there are nine Michael Bronte novels available. They are: The Dealership, Presidential Risk, Porchball, Call Me Crash, The Tenth Caller, Lost Friday, The Brothers, The Handyman, and the newest Michael Bronte novel, Homicide: Party of Twelve

The candles are guttered, one by one, and a hush falls over the parlor. The children have gone to bed, and a tall, gloriously decorated Christmas tree looms in the shadows of the hearth’s dying embers. A tattered copy of Charles Dickens’ masterwork, “A Christmas Carol” sits, cold and lonely, upon a table nearby.

A small gust of wind, hurling from the seam of an ill-fitting window, blows the cover open. The first chapter appears… “Marley’s Ghost”…

The clock on the wall chimes midnight.

Now, the magic happens.

From the gaily bedecked halls of Regency England to the cold and crisp air of the Scottish Highlands, and everything in between, enjoy the magic of a holiday collection that has drawn inspiration from Charles Dickens’ most beloved literary works. Where the ghosts of Christmas, the incandescent spirit of a tiny disabled boy, and the joy that is the very heart of the Christmas season come alive.

Demon Kissed by Mila Young & Jordan Crow

Night Kissed by Mila Young

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

I have to admit that I love pretty much everything that Mila writes so I knew I had to read this new start to a series. I was totally blown away. We get a hunter that found out her odd skills through accident and then honed her skills. Her BFF invites her back to her hometown when lots of deaths start happening in the supernatural world. Veronica is totally awesome and can take care of herself while throwing out plenty of sass. Ready for anything she is totally surprised when she meets the vampire in charge of the area as well as a demon and an angel. Makes for some interesting interactions to say the least as they all try to figure out what is going on. Makes for a great read that fans of the genre are sure to enjoy. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Soon, through her best friend Annie Jensen, Charlie learns that another student worker at J and M Processing has disappeared, leaving more questions and fewer answers. The near-endless sunlight gives plenty of time to search for clues, but Charlie will have to work with Annie and local reporter Chris Doucette to net the killer before anyone else gets hurt.

REVIEW
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Welcome back to Alaska. Charlie is still enjoying running the family diner while her parents enjoy semi retirement. The book starts with a bang when one of their diners collapses and dies before he even gets served. Worried about the diners reputation Charlie starts nosing around to figure out what happened. Along with her reporter friend Chris and BFF Annie the clues pile up fast even if they don't make sense to her at first. To make it even better the local Sheriffs office has a small staff so they even ask for help which is a nice change of pace. Provides a great insight into life in Alaska as the mystery plays out filled with plenty of varying characters. Lots of twists to keep you guessing leading to a satisfying ending when they solves not one but two mysteries. Makes for a pleasant read for cozy fans wanting a look into Alaska. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
