Kiss of the Damned by Elena Lawson

Kiss of the Damned by Elena Lawson

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Lawson has become one of favorite go to authors so when I saw she was starting a new series I was all in. I was disappointed either as this had me hooked from page one not stopping until I hit the end wishing there was more. Paige has spent her whole life believing that she is human while being kept prisoner by one man. He convinced her that she had an auto-immune disease that made it unsafe for her to go anywhere so she was trapped in the house at all times except for once a year on her birthday. Home was not even remotely fun as we learn as the story plays out. Her captor is killed making her think she may finally be free but when the cops show up they claim she is a supernatural throwing her across the boundary into their territory. She has no skills or anything yet that does not stop them from selling her at the demon market after she is caught. The powerful man that bought her believes she is a spy while she is pretty much clueless. It makes for quite an interesting story I must say with plenty of surprise thrown at us along the way. I must say I found it totally amazing and I cannot wait for book two. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
