Struggling Philadelphia private eye David Blaise gets two routine but unrelated cases on the same day in May 1985 – the day city police firebombed the MOVE house, which killed 11 people and destroyed an entire neighborhood. When Blaise starts following a cheating husband and searching for a missing person who may not actually be missing, he also discovers his cases may be related, and that he is being followed. When his tail is murdered, implicating the P-I, Blaise must find the true killer before he is literally buried alive.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
This is a new author for me but I must say his writing style is highly enjoyable. This is the start to a new series and we meet David Blaise a P.I. from Philly. We dive deep into the bombing that happened in 1985 as his two cases seem to start separate only to be connected as the story evolves. The time frame is captured quite well as the story plays out. Blaise ends up being a main suspect in the murder of a man that was following him. He has to find out what actually happened before he is arrested. This makes for a great read as the clues keep you guessing at every turn while you are being immersed in a time that really comes to life on the page. David is a character you can hooked on while his personality draws you in. Fans of mystery suspense are sure to enjoy it. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
