I fell in love with the Carlisle family during book one so I was looking forward to getting my hands on this newest installment and I was not disappointed. This time we follow Ross as he flees France to return to England only to find himself injured in the water. He washes up on shore making his way to a cottage where he runs across Grace who he should know but doesn't. Both of them have huge secrets so it is an explosive meeting and things do not settle down for awhile as they agree to help one another despite their obvious attraction. This is an amazing historical romance novel that will draw you in from the first page with the incredible world building (accuracy seems on point), characters you can love, and enough drama to really keep the story flowing. The end was a pleasant surprise. If you enjoy historical regency romance then you really have to read this one. I completely loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
