This is definitely an entertaining dark romance read. We dive deep into the mafia world where we meet Aspen. She is the daughter of a man that turned into a giant snitch when he decided to work with law enforcement sharing way too much info. He is in jail while her and her mother have to deal with fallout of his decisions. This has placed a giant target on their back so her mother sends her to Corium University where killing is not allowed in an effort to make her as safe as possible. This does not even remotely mean it will be a pleasant time as they all turn against her. The biggest problem is Quinton the son of the family hit the hardest by daddy's info. This makes these two instant enemies even if they feel drawn to one another. The dynamics makes for a dark intriguing ride as the story plays out with lots of surprise twists including one doozy of a cliff hanger ending. I cannot wait to see what happens next. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
