Dawson has truly outdone herself this time!! This is the start to what is going to be an epic series. We meet Alisa as she wakes up with no clue who she is or where she came from with the exception of a note pinned to her with her name as well as the statement that no one is a friend. Flash forward five years and she has become an amazing monster hunter with some mad sword skills. Then three strange men arrive claiming to know her from before stating that she is fae from another world. This does not go over well but neither does her reentry into her world since it is just full of secrets as well as threats. Leads to one doozy of a cliff hanger that left me wanting more now as I was ready for the journey they are about to embark on. A fascinating world filled with in depth characters that will take your breath away as they come to life on the page. A total must read in my opinion. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
