*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

I fell in love with this series during book one and each one just gets better and better. This time we get a paroled murderer in the area putting them all on edge. After he fights with the guy the find dead things take a twist and of course Carrie has to follow it to see where it leads. It is so easy to get attached to her as she filled the clues in between baking her treats and working. The love of animals in these really top the cake as each one gets its own personality while helping at the same time. An absolute must read for fans of cozies full of adorable critters. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

About the Author

Linda O. Johnston, a former lawyer who is now a full-time writer, writes the Barkery & Biscuits Mystery Series for Midnight Ink. Her fifth and final book in the series, For a Good Paws, is a May 2019 release. She has also written Superstition Mysteries for Midnight Ink, and the Pet Rescue Mystery Series and Kendra Ballantyne, Pet-Sitter mysteries for Berkley Prime Crime. Linda also writes for Harlequin Romantic Suspense, and nearly all her current stories involve dogs.
