Blog Tour Character Interview, Review, & Giveaway for Down in Flames by Cheryl Hollon

Character Interview –

1)      Tell us a little bit about yourself--both something we learn from [the story] and something that readers might not guess?  My name is Savannah Webb. I own the Webb’s Glass Shop on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg, Florida. My mother died when I was young, so my father was everything to me. I always knew at some point this business would belong to me, but not this quickly. I am grateful for his guidance when I was growing up. I
2)      How did you first meet your writer? I met the writer that was inspired by my story at her first book signing at Haslam’s Book Store just a few blocks down from my shop.
3)      Want to dish about him/her? Cheryl Hollon is a former flight simulation engineer. She has always read about strong women and now writes about them.
4)      Why do you think that your life has ended up being in a book? My life has taken an adventurous turn. First, my father was murdered and I helped solve the case. Second, I’m part of a new glass movement in Florida which has caused our area to be known as the Glass Coast. Third, I’ve become a subject matter expert to the St. Petersburg Police department for all things related to the local art community.
5)      Who's your favorite character? Why?  Edward, of course, because he’s my fiancĂ©.
6)      Who's your least favorite character? Why? Frank Lattimer owns a competitor glass store. He’s is the worst kind of business owner. He cheats his students by overcharging them for substandard quality materials. His classes are cheap than Webb’s, but they are abbreviated to the point of being useless. Savannah doesn’t understand why he’s still in business, except that his downtown location offers an endless supply of new students.
7)      What's next for you? Christmas is coming in the next book and maybe a wedding!

A fatal hit-and-run in front of Savannah Webb's glass shop proves to be no accident . . .
A highlight of Savannah's new glass bead workshop is a technique called flame-working, which requires the careful wielding of acetylene torches. Understandably, safety is a top priority. But as Savannah is ensuring her students' safety inside, a hit-and-run driver strikes down a pedestrian outside her shop.
The victim is Nicole Borawski, the bartender/manager at the Queen's Head Pub, owned by Savannah's boyfriend Edward. It quickly becomes clear that this was no random act of vehicular manslaughter. Now the glass shop owner is all fired up to get a bead on the driver—before someone else meets a dead end.
REVIEW
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

A fantastic new addition to this adorable cozy mystery series! We catch back up with Savannah after the expansion of shop which allows her to start bead making class. I really enjoy how detailed these books get when it comes to the glass projects. This one is no exception as it teaches me even more. A mystery on top is just an added bonus though an intriguing one to say the least. Savannah does a stellar job at uncovering the clues prices it all together when it is all said and done. Her cast of helpers are a real hoot giving quite a splash of color to it all. Well written and captivating. Total must read. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
