Blog Tour, Character Interview, & Review for Treasure Most Deadly by Terry Ambrose

Character Name: Alexandra Atwood

1)     Tell us a little bit about yourself--both something we learn from [the story] and something that readers might not guess? Im  eleven-years-old and everybody calls me Alex. My dad was a newspaper reporter in New York, and because my mom was always super interested in becoming a big-time actress, he spent a lot of nights working at the computer with me on his knee. I was just a little kid then, but over time I learned some awesome things about finding the truth. I totally dont know you well enough to be revealing my biggest secrets, but heres a little one. My dad thinks that when I grow up I want to be a detective, but the truth is Im thinking I might want to be mayor of Seaside Cove.

2)     How did you first meet your writer? My writer was totally lost when we met. He was like, I have this idea for a bed-and-breakfast mystery, but I dont know who the main characters should be. And Im like, hey! Im over here! Listen to me! And hes like, duh, do I want a kid in the story? Seriously? Grownups can be so lame. He finally got it, but it was totally a lot more work on my part than it should have been.

3)     Want to dish about him/her? My writer can be totally super critical. Hes like never happy with the story until its been through a gazillion edits. I know. Right? When my writers working on my dads chapters, me and my friend Sasha like to call our writer Mr. Picky Pants.

4)     Why do you think that your life has ended up being in a book? For real? Because Im so good at solving murders. My dad and the cops try, but theyre like so strict about the rules. I totally just go for the results.

5)     Who's your favorite character? Why? Well, other than my dad, it would be Marquetta. Shes gonna be marrying my dad soon. It took me almost a year of matchmaking before I got them together, but with their wedding coming up, Im sure shes gonna be an awesome mom. Marquetta totally gets me and shes always trying to help me be a better person, and thats one of the reasons I love her so much.

6)     Who's your least favorite character? Why? Oh, man, Id say that would be the dead guy. Mostly cause I caught him stealing artifacts from a sunken treasure ship and he chased me. I do feel kinda sorry for him cause he got killed off, but thats not my fault, blame it on my writer. He totally must have not liked the guy either cause he killed him. Right?

7)     What's next for you? Ill be helping to plan my dads wedding to Marquetta. Theres a lot of work involved because Marquetta told me she doesnt want a big wedding, but she does want a perfect one. Im totally gonna do my best to make sure her wedding day is everything she ever wanted and more!

Seaside Cove amateur sleuths Rick and Alexandra Atwood are back!

Seaside Cove Bed & Breakfast owner Rick Atwood is again called on to assist his friend, Chief of Police Adam Cunningham, with a murder investigation. The case seems straightforward enough. Clive Crabbe, who has a quick temper and a strong jealous streak, was found hunched over the victim after the man made advances toward Clive’s ex-wife.

A murder investigation is the last thing Rick wants right now. The B&B is booked solid. The town is inundated with tourists and news reporters chasing stories about treasure thieves. And Rick’s wedding to Marquetta Weiss is just weeks away. As if that wasn’t enough, Rick’s eleven-year-old daughter Alex is not only itching to help the cops solve another murder, but she’s forming an unhealthy friendship with a B&B guest.

As the murder investigation progresses, Rick realizes Alex’s new friend could be at the center of everything. The worst part is that Alex may be the one person capable of cracking the case.

REVIEW
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Welcome to another treasure hunt with Alex and Rick. I must admit that I thoroughly enjoy how these books bounce from Alex's POV to Rick's POV. It provides interesting insight into both sides of the story even if Alex is only eleven. This time Alex is all about doing whatever is necessary to get her dad to set a wedding date. While pushing that as always she is getting to know some of their B&B guests but one stands out. She claims to be a reporter writing about the recent shipwreck that was found but when Alex offers to introduce her to the lady in charge she claims its not necessary. This seemed suspicious so she starts watching her. This leads to an adventure that involves a treasure their as well as some other shady characters. Of course Rick is asked to help with the investigation as a consultant. Attempts are made to keep Alex put of it but her precocious mind doesn't allow this. All of this combines into a fast paced mystery that will keep you guessing while being entertained at the same time. Perfect for cozy fans looking for something just a little different then the norm. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
