Book one of the Down South Cafe Mystery series. Amy Flowers is an aspiring chef who's dream is to open her own cafe. She offers to buy her bosses cafe but she turns her down flat. The next thing she knows her boss is dead, and she is a suspect. Her investigation style is more general conversation than interrogation which seems to help her pick up the pieces she needs. The characters are all well developed and easy to relate to even cracking me up at times. I really enjoyed the development of the story, and am looking forward to reading book two which I happen to have access to already. I give it 4/5 stars.
