I enjoyed this book so much!! Ezra has been raised as the only girl to be able to totally be able to take care of herself. After her parents dies her brothers kept her safe while training her at the same time. She competes in the Gauntlet year after year winning to show off her impressive skills. This is a feat that many die trying to reach the end but many believe that if they can beat her then they can be her mate. They are all dragons though none of them can shift until they mate and only the females have any actual powers before that. Over time they have been dying out as females are rare and the birth rate has pretty much stopped in this crazy Dystopian world. When the secrets that have kept from her start to show themselves, such as her going into heat whether she wants to or not, she must take on a bodyguard to keep all them en lusting after her away. After that we just get one surprise twist after another as she is drawn to her mates making it necessary for them to go on a journey to complete the bonding. Makes for a fascinating story that I was unable to put down once I got starts. My only wish would be that it not be a stand alone so I could patiently wait for more. Overall a must read for fans of paranormal shifter RH. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
