Character Name: Andie
Sullivan
1)
Tell us a little bit about yourself--both
something we learn from [the story] and something that readers might not
guess? Give me a good true crime documentary and I’ll binge it over going
out on Friday night. I also have a knack for stumbling on dead bodies while
adventure seeking. It’s a bad habit, but one I thoroughly enjoy solving.
2) How did you first meet your writer? I met
Jodi Linton while in New Mexico when she was vacationing with her family. We
were in the same rafting group. From there, Jodi went back to Texas and my
story was written.
3) Want to dish about him/her? Are we
talking about Sheriff Zac Mars. If so, all I can say I used to babysit him. And
yes, I’m five years older. And no, we’re only friends, no matter what he says.
4) Why do you think that your life has ended
up being in a book? I bet some of my crazy stories from all my guided rafting
tours got back to the author, and she decided I’d make a great book character.
5)
Who's your favorite character? Why? Kyle
Sullivan. If my brother read this question didn’t see his name as the answer,
he’d want to know what he said during our last fight to piss me off.
6)
Who's your least favorite character? Why? I
like mostly everyone in Bushwhack. I guess I could say anyone who becomes a
suspect could go on my least favorite list.
What's next for you? I’m going on a camping
trip with the Wilderness Explorers. Every spring break I take the young kids
camping to let them learn about nature and the beautiful national parks
Bushwhack has to offer.About The Hiker's Guide to Murder

Hiking the Kindling National Forest is a birthday tradition for the Sullivan siblings—pitching camp, roasting s’mores… a dead body? Not exactly the fun party outdoor guide Andie Sullivan planned for her brother, Kyle. Welp.
When the body is identified as a local who worked at the parks department, Andie decides to put her clue-solving skills to use. Winter tourism is at stake, and if word gets out that Bushwhack has another killer on the loose, she can kiss that sweet revenue goodbye.
Easier said than done. Meanwhile, Sheriff Zac Mars is neck and neck with her on uncovering clues, proving solving the latest murder in town is harder than powering through a mountain bike tour on an energy bar breakfast. Racing against the clock, Andie must uncover evidence to make her mountain community safe for ski bunnies. But as one new plot twist turns into another dead body, Andie learns not everyone likes meddling civilian sleuths. If she’s not fast enough, the killer may find her before she finds them.
REVIEW
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
I think I forgot how hilarious And ie is but this book managed to remind me quite well. She is on a hike with her brother for his birthday which is something they do every year. He changed things a little though when he chooses to go cave spelunking in the Canyon. Andie just has to repel first but things go haywire when a fault line rumbles for the first time in a really long time, she falls, and manages to find a dead body. Having no plans to stay out of it she makes a bet with Zac as to who solves it first. There are some surprising consequences along the way leading some twists. Makes for a great read that showcases Annie's spunky personality and can do attitude. A total must read. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
About Jodi Linton
Hey Y’all,
I’m just a girl from Texas, minus the big hair…and oh, yeah, a horse. My crew consists of two kiddos, one which inherited my makeup addiction, and a husband still living out his garage band dreams, but in our closet next to my shoe collection.
I love to hang out with my readers, discussing books, recipes and just everyday shenanigans. I got started in the romance community, which you might know a few of my books from there. Now, I’m all about the cozies…and the coffee. Yeah, can’t forget that.
I’d love for you to come and join my reader group, Jodi’s Book Corner or come like me on Facebook to discover my books. And chat. Naturally.
