What a great start to this series. We get a world of islands that are all under the control of a King. Some people are born with a mark that means they are a changed one. This puts their life in danger as they are all to be killed once found. Cass has been hidden her whole life to keep her safe but when she is discovered she has to flee all she knows. Enter the pirates that will change her life forever. Nice world building with some great characters. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
