Destined to Strike by J. Kearston

Destined to Strike by J. Kearston
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

I must admit that I have fallen in love with the little town created for this series. While each book totally works as a stand alone it is so much more fun to read them all so when another group is mentioned, or even plays a role, I know who they are as well as how their story played out. This time we meet Esmeralda who is on the run after witnessing some horrible stuff. She is shot falling into a river where she is rescued by a lone bear shifter. He knows she is his mate yet he takes her to the little town anyways where she meets Ian the mage. Ian invites her to be his house guest once he knows she is homeless and they eventually discover that they are also mates. As if that is not complicated enough a third mate makes an appearance later on shaking things all up. Makes for a great read as they fumble around screwing things before they finally figure out what they all want and need. Great for an afternoon read. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
