And while bartending pays the bills,
mostly. And putting dickhead customers in their place feeds my soul,
I’ve got an immortality to plan.
That’s why tonight I’m waltzing
into the Vampire King of Laurel Cove’s fancy-ass gala, finessing my way
passed his big dumb guards, and swiping a priceless diamond right from
under his nose.
𝘈 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘺 𝘷𝘢𝘮𝘱 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵?
And I’ve got it all figured out.
I don’t. I know fuck-all about this world. And I, Eden Vaughn,
bartender, cat-burglar, and baby vamp would much rather stay in my
comfortable human world than deal with the lies, blood, and corruption
of this one.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
I so enjoyed this book!! We meet Eden a fairly young vampire who also happens to be a master thief. This is an extremely rare skill for a vampire (as in she is the only one) so when the King needs a safe cracker he has her in mind. Obviously this leads to them meeting where which changes both of their plans as they learn a hidden secret. From that point on you can sit back and watch the fireworks fly between these two while also enjoying plenty of vampy drama. Makes for a fabulous read that me hooked until the very end where we get one doozy of a cliff hanger. I cannot wait for the next book! I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
