Book two in the Timber Creek K-9 Mystery series. Things are really heating up in Timber Creek now. Deputy Brody's girlfriend turns up missing which calls everyone in especially Robo with his nose. Things are looking grim until an anonymous callers gives directions to what is supposed to be the body. Mattie and Brody (along with Robo) go out in a snow storm to search. When they find Mattie has to stay behind with no supplies to keep it safe. What follows is a crazy mystery that I could not have thought of myself which lots of twists and turns that all seem to flow together into one big picture that I did not see coming. Perfect for fans of police procedure mystery novels that have a K-9 element to top it off. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.

Stalking Ground by Margaret Mizushima
Killing Tail by Margaret Mizushima
Book one in the Timber Creek K-9 Mystery series. This is the beginning of Mattie and Robo working together after their training. Mattie is still trying to trust her partners instincts and tends to question things more then she should. If she just would have trusted Robo's instincts a little more the case would have been solved in half the time though it would not have been nearly as interesting. The character development is strong and the story is well built with lots to keep the reader entertained while still guessing what will happen next. I highly recommend this book to fans of police procedure mystery novels or ones that focus on the K-9 aspect. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.
The Magic Fox by Paula Harrison
Book four in the Secret Rescuers series. Another excellent addition to this remarkably cute kids easy reader series. This time we get to meet a magic fox and his family that can change colors like a chameleon to match their background. Thanks to Sir Fitzroy the family is in danger and a little girl decides to help after being chosen by a speaking stone. This are simple easy to read chapters perfect for young readers and the story keeps them hooked until the last page wondering what will happen next. Perfect for fans of fantasy books or magical animals. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.
Leopard's Blood by Christine Feehan
Book ten in the Leopard People series. I just love these leopard books. We get Joshua's story this time after he takes over for dead mob boss working the others to clean things up. He accepted the position because he thought he would never find his mate but surprise. Not only does he find her but they meet while she is in heat. She is new to the whole shifter thing and while she knows what is making her act so crazy she believes that the two of them will not last once the heat is over. She is in for a big surprise as well as some danger as the bad people she has been hiding from find her. This is great blend of all things paranormal (focus on shifters), romance, and lots of suspense with a touch of danger on each page. The evolution of the relationships in these books is always amazing to read and this one did not disappoint even if it did start off with a bang. I highly recommend the whole series to paranormal romance fans. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.

REVIEW
REVIEW
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
After finding the first two books in this series highly enjoyable I just had to give this one a try and it did not let me down. Vanessa just has this writing style that really let's the reader enjoy the romance and I especially enjoy how each installment has it's own time line instead of following a set one like so many other romance authors do. The historical parts seem accurate and add just the right amount of details/drama to really keep the story going. This couple has some incredible dialogue that had me giggling, shaking my head, agreeing, and fuming at the turn of each page. The concept of inappropriate princesses through no fault of their own is just fun as well as being a nice tweak on the story for change of pace. If you enjoy historical romance novels then you so have to read this book and the others in the series. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.

REVIEW
Wonderful read for fans of historical cozy mysteries with a strong focus on the world of music. Placed in the past the story revolves a set of compositions that may or may not have been created by a famous composer. Like most historical artifacts this creates a world of lies, illusions, and back stabbing as everyone tries to get their hands on it. The investigation follows like a jigsaw puzzle of pieces that must be placed together into one main picture that ties all the loose ends together in a way that was quite surprising. The characters ares tron,g and the writing is smooth which I really enjoyed so it gets 4/5 stars.

Book Blitz & Giveaway for Christmas with a Prince by Noelle Adams
Christmas with a Prince
Noelle Adams
(Rothman Royals, #4)
Publication date: November 29th 2017
Genres: Adult, Romance
I might be a former party girl and the over-indulged daughter of a multi-millionaire, but for the last few years I’ve been trying to be work hard and be good. I have enough right now to deal with–graduate school, my community literacy program, preparations for Christmas, and my dad’s constant attempts to find me a husband. I definitely don’t want to put up with Henry always hanging around, acting obnoxious and looking far too sexy.
My boss forced me to take on Henry as a literacy volunteer for the month of December. I don’t know anything about him except he’s from somewhere in Europe, and he’s spoiled, entitled, arrogant, stubborn… and incredibly hot. He’s the kind of guy I’ve been trying to stay away from. Plus he’s got a secret–something he’s hiding from me.
Now I can’t think of anything but him, and I’m stuck with him until Christmas is over.
—
EXCERPT:
I tried—very hard—not to feel an amused satisfaction at the look on Henry’s face as he saw the task in front of him.“You think I have time to do it all?”
“Why wouldn’t you? Unless you’re planning to waste time while you’re here.” I remembered I was supposed to be nice to him now and tempered my tone with a smile. “I’m sure you’re not. You’ll get through them in no time.”
His eyes narrowed again in that suspicious way, as if he thought I might have questionable motives. “Why are you being nice to me today?”
I stiffened my shoulders. “Why wouldn’t I be nice?”
“You weren’t nice yesterday.”
This was unfortunately true, and I felt guilty about it. “I’m sorry about yesterday. I was… I didn’t know who you were, and I overreacted.”
If anything, his expression looked even more suspicious than it had before. “And you know who I am now?”
I frowned in confusion. “Of course I know who you are. Marcus told me you were authorized. You’re not some creep who came in off the street to get close to the kids.”
His face relaxed slightly but not all the way. “I see.”
I felt even more confused, rattled in a way that wasn’t normal for me. I didn’t like it. I gave him a little scowl. “Why are you being weird?”
“I’m not being weird.” He spoke the last word with care, as if he weren’t used to saying it.
“Yes, you are being weird. You seemed to like it yesterday when I was rude to you, and now you’re all stiff and off-putting because I’m trying to be nice.”
“I’m not off-putting.” He was relaxing even more now, that little smile on the corner of his mouth making those adorable creases.
I scowled even more. “Yes, you are. Do you have a problem with people being nice to you?”
“Only if they have ulterior motives.”
I gasped. “What possible motive could I have to be nice to you, other than being a decent person? Maybe you’re not used to being around decent people, but there are a few of us out there. If I want to be nice, I’ll be nice. I don’t have to have a motive for it.”
He was back to yesterday’s mood now. His eyes were laughing and appreciative both. As if I amused him and he also liked what he saw. “You’re not being very nice now,” he drawled.
“Well, I would if you’d let me. I find it very hard to be nice to obnoxious people.”
“And you think I’m obnoxious?”
He was teasing me. I knew it, and I also knew I shouldn’t play along. But I couldn’t seem to help it. “Of course you’re being obnoxious. I can’t be the only person who’s ever told you that.”
“You actually are. Almost everyone likes me.”
“That can’t possibly be true.”
Author Bio:
Noelle handwrote her first romance novel in a spiral-bound notebook when she was twelve, and she hasn’t stopped writing since. She has lived in eight different states and currently resides in Virginia, where she reads any book she can get her hands on and offers tribute to a very spoiled cocker spaniel.
She loves travel, art, history, and ice cream. After spending far too many years of her life in graduate school, she has decided to reorient her priorities and focus on writing contemporary romances.

Blog Tour and Giveaway for The One Apart by Justine Avery
The One Apart
by Justine Avery
Genre:Fantasy, Supernatural Thriller
Only one obstacle stands in his
way of enjoying a normal life. He remembers—every life he's lived
before.
Tres is about to be born... with the
biggest burden any has ever had to bear. He is beginning again—as
an ageless adult trapped in an infant body.
He and his teenage mother face life
filled with extraordinary challenges as they strive to protect,
nurture, and hide how truly different he is. But Tres alone must
solve the greatest mystery of all: who is he? The answer is linked to
the one question he's too afraid to ask: why am I?
In his quest, Tres discovers that all
is considerably more interconnected and dynamic than he could ever
imagine—and fraught with far more danger. He cannot hide from the
unseen threat stalking him since his birth.
Life as he knows it—as all know it—is
in peril. And Tres is the only one aware.
Justine Avery is
an award-winning author of stories large and small for all.
Born in the American Midwest and raised all over the world, she is
inherently an explorer, duly fascinated by everything around her and
excitedly noting the stories that abound all around. As an avid
reader of all genres, she weaves her own stories among them all. She
has a predilection for writing speculative fiction and story twists
and surprises she can’t even predict herself.
Avery has either
lived in or explored all 50 states of the union, over 36 countries,
and all but one continent; she lost count after moving 30-some times
before the age of 20. She’s intentionally jumped out of
airplanes and off the highest bungee jump in New Zealand, scuba dived
unintentionally with sharks, designed websites, intranets, and
technical manuals, bartered with indigenous Panamanians, welded
automobile frames, observed at the Bujinkan Hombu Dojo in Noba,
Japan, and masterminded prosperous internet businesses—to name a
few adventures. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree that life has
never required, and at age 28, she sold everything she owned and quit
corporate life—and her final “job”—to freelance and travel
the world as she always dreamed of. And she’s never looked back.
Aside from
her native English, Avery speaks a bit of Japanese and a bit more
Spanish, her accent is an ever-evolving mixture of Midwestern
American with notes of the Deep South and indiscriminate British
vocabulary and rhythm, and she says “eh”—like the Kiwis, not
the Canadians. She currently lives near Los Angeles with her husband,
British film director Devon Avery, and their three adopted children:
Becks, Sam, and Lia. She writes from wherever her curiosity takes
her.
Avery loves to
connect with fellow readers and creatives, explorers and imaginers,

Gods

Genre:
Superhero
GLBT Romance
Heroes
aren’t meant to act like their villains—or fall in love with
them.
The
elements touch everyone on Earth—Fire, Water, even Light—but
every so often someone becomes more attuned to their elemental
leaning and develops true power. When an evil Elemental known as
Thanatos arrived in Olympus City, it saw the rise of its first
hero—Zeus. But the death toll caused by defeating Thanatos changed
Zeus, who by day is young detective Danny Grant.
It’s
been six months since Thanatos terrorized the city at the start of
Lovesick Gods. Danny should be used to his duty behind the mask, but
the recent past haunts him. His girlfriend left him, he snaps at the
barest provocation, his life feels empty—he needs an outlet, any
outlet to pull him out of his depression.
Enter
notorious thief Malcolm Cho, the Ice Elemental Prometheus. There was
a time when Danny welcomed a fight with Cho, filled with colorful
banter and casual flirtations that were a relief compared to
Thanatos. Even as a criminal, Cho had recognized the threat Thanatos
posed and promised to help Danny stop him, but the day Danny needed
Cho, he never showed. Cho was the reason so many people died that
day—including Danny’s mother.
Danny
decides to teach the man a lesson and fan the fire of their
attraction into something more. At worst, he’ll get some
no-strings-attached sex out of the deal and finally blow off steam;
at best, he’ll get Cho to fall in love with him and then break his
heart to spite him.
Danny
doesn’t expect to fall for Cho in the process, and he certainly
can’t predict the much darker threat on the horizon.
