Well I have to admit that this book was definitely different. It starts with the introduction of several people that are able to time travel and a basic explanation of how this happens both naturally as well as using their machines. Next we meet the couple that is in love Julia and Phillip. Julia gets caught in a natural time portal and has to find a way back to the only man she will ever love while stuck in a time period she does not know. Since the two are apart most of the book it was one of the strangest love stories I have ever read but I have to give them credit for their determination to get back to one another. The time travelers themselves also have a strange story line of intrigue and back stabbing in their midst as each thinks they should be the leader or just have more power than they do now. The writing was pretty good though the story bogs down in a few spots. There were a few unnecessary details and a few that I wished had been added. I admit that I wanted to like the book more than I did so I can only give it 3/5 stars.
