This book was sure different. We are following the past and present life of a cop known as Billy Harney. Billy finds himself wrapped up in IA investigation which puts his butt on the line before it is all said and done. He is even shot and accused of murdering both an ADA and his partner, but suffering from memory loss Billy has no idea what really happened to him or why. He tries every trick in the book to get his memory back until a fluke event closer to the end jolts it all back for him. The real culprits came as a complete surprise to me as it also did to the characters in the book. A well written fast paced book that has an interesting murder case wrapped up with dirty cops as well. I really liked it so it gets 4/5 stars.
