And the Miss Ran Away with the Rake by Elizabeth Boyle

And the Miss Ran Away with the Rake (Rhymes With Love, #2)

Book two in the Rhymes With Love series. Henry Seldon finds himself stuck in a bad spot after his nephew placed an ad in the newspaper for a bride during the previous book. Henry is drawn to one particular letter though and what follows is an interesting relationship through correspondence though neither knows the others true identity. The plot that follows is the two of them running into each other quite frequently while looking for the true writer of the letters that they are in love with. To make things even more interesting their two families have been in a feud for a really long time making it almost impossible for them to be together. Things have a way of twisting around anyways though and this story just proves that theory. While this is a good romance novel I have to admit that I got a little tired of the constant searching the were each doing. I found it hard to believe that they would not have suspicions sooner. Parts of the story bog down as well which made me fell like it would never end but then it got good again with the third part of the book really moving until the last page. This is is a good book for fans of historical romance that like a slightly slower story but still contains a good romance itself. I enjoyed it despite the slow pace so I give it 3/5 stars.
