Blog Tour, Review, & Giveaway for Hinder by Kristin Ping

Hinder
Kristin Ping
(Guardian of Monsters #1)
Publication date: May 15th 2018
Genres: Fantasy, New Adult, Paranormal
Ethan Sutcliff seems like a normal seventeen-year-old—at least that’s what he’s trying to portray. In a secret society run by the Supernaturals, Ethan is what witches call a Bender. Benders are Witches’ Guardians, who are able to control a witches’ ability, bend it, or move it away from harming humans. In Ethan’s case, he is able to bend the Earth element. But at the age of fifteen, he lost all connection to it, and the reasons behind it could only mean one of two things: His Wielder is either dead, or hiding out somewhere.
Alex Burgendorf has been living in her aunt’s locket for the past sixteen years with her mother—a Fire Wielder, and her father—a Water Wielder. For sixteen years, her parents vowed to protect her, and they have, as she is the last Earth wielding witch. However, time is running out. Alex must find her Bender, or the fate of the Supernaturals might be at stake.

REVIEW
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

What an incredible start to a new series. It starts with some excellent world building filled with magic that morphs into one giant star crossed lovers story. The characters are all well developed and blend quite nicely with the magical world. The twists and turns in the story keep the reader guessing until the end which was just full of surprises that I so did not see coming. If you enjoy paranormal fantasy new adult novels then you so have to try this book. I really enjoyed so I give it 4/5 stars.

  2. I've never read this author. I read the review written by Books a Plenty Books Review. And I came away not knowing whether this book is for me. I've read a lot of the comments which went from 2 points to 5. Which leaves me feeling that I'm not sure about reading this bok. I do like paranormal, fantasy and witchers. But I really don't know that much about shifters. If I started the book and then a lot of information was dumped on me all at one time I would become very confused. S I'm afraid that 3 stars is the most I can give for this book.
