Book one in the Sinful Suitors series. Meet Jeremy a famous American artist that is visiting England where he is convinced to paint a portrait of a wealthy young woman names Yvette. He agrees because he makes an arrangement with her to paint a completely separate painting in the evenings that her brother would never approve of. Yvette agrees because she also has a secret motive that she needs help with thanks to her rogue of a younger brother. All of the hidden arrangements makes for an interesting story as all of the characters interact with one another trying to keep everything secret. The romance angle flows fairly smoothly though I love how once he finally realizes he wants to marry her she says no which he totally deserves. This is a must read for fans of historical romances as Jeffries does an excellent job of telling their story while still keeping things historical as well as interesting along the way.
