The Store by James Patterson

The Store

Well this book was certainly interesting. We are introduced to a world where a company known as "The Store" is essentially taking over everything and making the world one without physical stores making online ordering a must and constant surveillance with cameras absolutely everywhere. We get to meet a couple, Jacob and Megan, and their children. Jacob and Megan are authors though in a store run world they cannot get published. So as they lose pretty much everything they decide to go to work for the store in order to do some research into the company itself as inside sources. They have to move across the country to do this and move in "The Store"  provided housing, jobs, and lives that have been set up for them. As they are get settled Jacob starts rebelling while the other three seem to adapt. What follows is quite a bit of craziness that leads up to the end which I found surprising and interesting at the same time. I quite liked this book and recommend it to fans of suspense type novels. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.
