Book two in the Tales of a New World series. Welcome back to the world of the moon people and day/tree people as the two groups bicker back and forth. We pick up right after the end of the last book with the fire still raging and the people in chaos. The tree people start blaming Mari for their problems and she just has enough so she takes all she can rescue (plus those that just want to go) with her back to the moon people territory. What follows is some amazing compromising while the two groups do their best to form a new better group that welcomes them all. What they do not know though is that the skin walkers are rising under a new leader that wants to take over both of their lands. Can the new group create success fast enough to save themselves? We will have to wait for the next book to find out what happens next. This is an incredible world building fantasy novel that really sucks the reader into the details bringing the scene to life in their head. I recommend it to fans of YA fantasy novels. I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.
