Better Late Than Never by Jenn McKinlay

Better Late Than Never (Library Lover's Mystery, #7)

Book seven in the Library Lover's Mystery series. For this newest edition to the series the library is having an amnesty day which of course brings in a huge mountain of overdue books that people have been hoarding. The surprise comes when one of those books was checked out twenty years ago to a woman that was murdered the same day she picked it up though the case was never solved. Of course this makes Lindsay have to investigate why the book popped up now and who had it. It is interesting to read a murder investigation of a cold case, but the story moves quite nicely even if none of the events are current (with a minor exception which you will know about when you read it). I have to admit that I am really happy that she finally got her romantic life under control and in the direction that I wanted her to take. The back and forth and glacial speed was driving me a little crazy. I am highly invested in the characters by this point including the newer ones and am really enjoying the arching story line. I give it 4/5 stars.
