The Grumpface by B.C.R. Feegan

The Grumpface

*Received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Written for grades K-5 this is the cutest little book that also happens to be very well illustrated. We get to meet Dan who goes on a quest to find a rose for a women he really likes. Along his travels he runs across a green troll like person that is so grumpy he has a permanent scowl on his face. He tell Dan he is trapped with him forever unless he can complete one of three tasks he assigns. Dan is a clumsy man so he messes up each task he is assigned which makes the Grumpface smile breaking the curse forever. This story reinforces seeing the positive side of things no matter what actually happens which is a good lesson for young children to learn. Recommended fro younger children for learning lessons and learning to read (the language is simple and rhymes at times making it easy for readers). I really enjoyed it so it gets 4/5 stars.
